The Town of China Grove Boards & Commissions help shape the future of our community by serving in an advisory capacity to the Town Council. Those interested in serving in a voluntary capacity on an Advisory Board may submit an application to the Town Clerk. The applicant must be a resident of the Town or the Extraterritorial Zoning Jurisdiction of the Town of China Grove.

COVID-19 has brought considerable changes to our community in a short period of time. The Town of China Grove is actively monitoring is COVID-19 crisis and are following guidance from government and health officials to keep our community safe.

Currently, The Town of China Grove is functioning under normal conditions. All services are operating on their regular schedules.
Facilities
Town Hall is open and staff will continue to work during the business hours of 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday thru Thursday. In order to comply with the recommendations of local, state and federal health agencies, town staff are practicing social distancing by canceling in-office meetings and telecommuting.
Town employees may be reached by phone or email using the staff directory.
Our parks are open. We are accepting rentals for our Community Building and are following the mass gathering guidelines.

State of Emergency Declaration
Friday at 11 a.m., Rowan County Board of Commissioners Chairman Greg Edds signed a State of Emergency Declaration in response to COVID-19. China Grove Mayor Charles Seaford signed a Consent to County Declaration. The state of emergency declaration issued by Rowan County shall apply within the corporate limits of China Grove. The declaration helps the county and town seek federal money related to COVID-19 preparation, response and recovery.
The Novel Corona virus, now renamed COVID-19, is a respiratory disease that was first detected in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China.
At this point in time, the risk of becoming infected with COVID-19 in North Carolina is still low. However, there are measures that you can and should take to remain healthy.
