Festival History
This special event was organized to honor local farmers. The festival allowed farmers to sell their produce and it provided a day of fun for our residents with food, crafts and music. Farmers Day has since grown to become one of the best street festivals in North Carolina. Today, colorful booths line Main Street with a variety of arts and craft items, local farmers sell produce and honey, agricultural related displays and information booths, huge antique tractor display, live music, food and kids activities, homemade ice cream are just a few things to tickle your fancy. Farmers Day is held annually the third Saturday in July. Farmers Day offers something for everyone!
