Miller's Grove Residents

The Town of China Grove has contracted with Carolina Siteworks, Inc to complete repairs to the streets within Phases 1A and 1B. Repairs are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, October 25th, 2023. The repairs are expected to be completed within 30 days. The repair process being used is called Full Depth Reclamation or FDR. During the FDR process the existing stone and asphalt will be ground up to a depth of 12 inches and mixed with concrete. Please expect dust during the FDR process and concrete curing period.

During these repairs, residents will have access to their driveways; however, parking along the street during this time is not permitted. Work is expected to be completed on weekdays between 7 am - 5 pm and is weather permitting. If changes are made to the scheduled repairs, residents will be notified. Carolina Siteworks will assist in coordinating driveway access. Residents may contact project Superintendent Jackie Riley with questions or concerns at 704-791-7195.

LIHWAP – Emergency Funding for Water Bill Assistance

The State of North Carolina has created the Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP).  This is a federally-funded program that provides emergency assistance to low-income households, particularly those with the lowest incomes that pay a high proportion of household income for drinking water and wastewater services.

If interested in applying for these funds please contact Rowan County Department of Social Services at 704-216-8330, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday- Friday and ask for the water assistance program.  These funds are limited and Social Services is responsible for approval decisions.
