US 29 CORRIDOR STUDY
In 2019, the Town of China Grove received approval for funding to conduct a transportation planning study along US HWY 29 through the Cabarrus-Rowan Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). Working with NCDOT Planning Division, through a competitive process, the Town selected Kimley-Horn to conduct the study. The project focuses on identifying existing and potential transportation issues along the US HWY 29 corridor, and creating strategies to help promote safety, design and aesthetics, traffic flow, and pedestrian access. The Town Council adopted the plan January 5th, 2021.
